Whether modifying aircraft to help protect our service members overseas, performing geographical mapping for scientific research, or working to suppress large wildfires on the West Coast, we serve with integrity and excellence.
Dynamic Aviation is seeking a motivated and hands-on summer intern to support our Facilities Maintenance department while also contributing to innovative projects with senior leadership. This unique opportunity combines facilities operations, construction and real estate exposure, and emerging technology initiatives including AI research, policy development, and agent research/modeling.
The ideal candidate is adaptable, technically curious, and comfortable working both in operational environments and on forward-looking technology projects.
Responsibilities
  • Learn assigned department processes and procedures
  • Assist in processing paperwork and documentation according to established procedures
  • Work independently or collaboratively under the guidance of department leadership
  • Follow established safety rules and maintain a safe, clean work environment
  • Operate power equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, floor scrubbers, and other tools
  • Conduct routine inspections of facility grounds, signage, and equipment labeling
  • Support general cleaning and upkeep of facilities and grounds
  • Perform mowing, weeding, mulching, and landscaping activities
  • Operate zero-turn mowers, string trimmers, and various power tools
  • Assist with organization and cleanliness of hangar facilities
  • Support general facilities maintenance including painting and minor repairs to windows, doors, floors, drywall, and building structures
  • Perform basic mechanical activities and minor repair/maintenance of shop tools and equipment
  • Assist with setup and support for company events as needed
  • Attend and participate in intern programming and company-hosted events
  • Contribute to AI research, process and policy development, and agent creation research/ initiatives as assigned
  • Support additional projects involving facilities, construction, real estate, and operational improvement efforts
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Current college student pursuing a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field strongly preferred
  • Policy development experience preferred
  • Experience with AI tools, agent creation, or AI development strongly preferred
  • Ability to operate power equipment and tools (ex: lawn mowers, power and hand tools)
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to adapt and respond appropriately to changing priorities
  • Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in operational environments
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred), and various company software programs
  • Ability to read and understand aircraft parts and maintenance manuals for research purposes; knowledge of aviation terminology a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to learn new processes and materials quickly
  • Ability to work productively and efficiently without distraction in a fast-paced atmosphere to achieve deadlines
  • Ability to adapt/respond appropriately to changing circumstances

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, balance, and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete flooring
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, both indoors and outdoors, and in extreme heat.
  • Pay is $12.77 per hour
