Job Description
MCC Lab is offering a temporary, part-time position (25 hours per week) for a senior-year PhD student. The selected candidate will focus on the following areas:
  • Working in area of 3D visual content coding, in particular Gaussian Splatting coding and generative Face Video coding.
  • Algorithm research, MPEG standardization impact, Qualcomm's open source project contribution, and research paper publications in top venues.

Desired skills: signal/image processing, entropy coding, quantization and rate-distortion optimization, delivery of results under the MPEG common test conditions.
This position is a temporary, non-benefit eligible, unranked/non-tenure track academic position and will be offered for a period of 6 months.
