Research Assistant - Chemistry
Wayne State University is searching for an experienced Research Assistant - Chemistry at its Detroit campus location.

Essential functions (job duties):
Minimum of 1 year of hands-on laboratory experience, including sample preparation, data analysis, pipetting, solution preparation, dilutions, weighing, centrifugation, documentation, and reporting.
Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience using benchtop and microwave digestion methods for ICP-MS analysis.
Minimum of 1 year of analytical instrumentation experience, including GC-MS, SPME-GC-MS, ICP-MS, and related laboratory instrumentation.
Experience performing routine instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage competing priorities.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining chemical and equipment inventories and handling chemical waste in accordance with proper disposal procedures.
