Key Responsibilities:

  • Review equipment performance, operational data, and system alerts to identify unusual trends or potential issues.
  • Escalate operational concerns to field personnel, supervisors, or other stakeholders following established procedures.
  • Maintain detailed shift logs documenting events, communications, and operational activity.
  • Prepare thorough shift handoff reports for incoming operations personnel.
  • Analyze operational information to identify inconsistencies or performance trends.
  • Verify the accuracy of operational data entered into company systems.
  • Communicate with field teams to obtain updates and confirm operating conditions.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts by gathering and organizing operational data.
  • Track equipment status, well activity, downtime, and other key operational metrics.
  • Follow company policies, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Develop knowledge of drilling operations, field equipment, and industry terminology.
  • Assist with additional operational reporting and data analysis projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to recognize trends, anomalies, and inconsistencies within operational data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working independently during a 12-hour overnight shift.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new software systems and monitoring platforms.
  • Ability to follow established procedures while making sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in oil and gas, manufacturing, industrial operations, control rooms, or operations monitoring is a plus but not required.
  • Eagerness to learn drilling operations and grow into more advanced operational roles.
