Key Responsibilities
  • Translate business needs and priorities into analytical plans that answer business questions and deliver actionable insights; communicate advanced analytics to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (market research, forecasting, commercial analytics, data science, customer engagement, data strategy, population health, competitive insights, marketing operations, medical/clinical).
  • Analyze data across disparate sources (claims/EMR, DDD, and other healthcare datasets) to develop insights for commercial strategy.
  • Stay current with analytical advancements (including GenAI) and apply them to enhance analytics capabilities.
  • Contribute to innovative experiments (idea generation/incubation/experimentation) with tangible, measurable improvement criteria.
  • Derive actionable insights, craft clear data narratives, and communicate effectively.
  • Lead and mentor data scientists and business analysts (on-shore/off-shore) in analytics, modeling, and data visualization.
  • Travel may be required.
Qualifications & Required Skills
  • BS (or equivalent) in Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Decision Science, Marketing, Engineering, or Public Health (required). MBA/MS/PhD preferred.
  • 5+ years delivering complex analytical projects in pharma/biotech/consulting/healthcare.
  • Experience mining patient medical claims/EMR and producing actionable commercial insights.
  • Storytelling/executive presence; stakeholder management in matrix organizations.
  • Strong business acumen; translate pharma business processes/commercial strategies into analytics requirements.
  • Organizational/project management; lead teams of analysts/data scientists.
  • Innovative experimentation mindset; curiosity about agentic AI/automation.
  • Responsible AI use in regulated environments (privacy, validation).
  • Hands-on healthcare data experience (EMR/EHR, claims such as IQVIA APLD, other data offerings).
  • Programming/code development for analytics; ML/AI/NLP/model evaluation is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ML and descriptive algorithms using Python, R, SAS, SQL, etc.
Preferred
  • Prior hands-on healthcare data/advanced analytics experience; MBA/MS/PhD.
