www.bpcc.edu Minimum Qualifications Minimum of five (5) years of verifiable experience in the electrical industry. Demonstrated knowledge of residential and/or commercial electrical systems and safe work practices. NCCER Instructor Certification or the ability to obtain certification is preferred

Previous teaching, mentoring, or workforce training experience is preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Other Requirements: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Ability to travel to various locations within Northwest Louisiana. Flexible schedule to accommodate training sessions at different times and locations. Ability to pass a background check as required by Bossier Parish Community College.

Physical Requirements: Must have use of sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, and handle or feel objects and controls. Must have physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine. Capable of lifting and carrying equipment and materials up to 70 pounds.

Dexterity to operate carpentry and other construction related equipment and tools in a safe and effective manner. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform hands-on demonstrations. Job Specification Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC) is seeking a Part-Time Electrical Bootcamp Instructor to deliver a three (3)-week introductory electrical training program. The instructor will provide classroom and hands-on lab instruction using the NCCER Electrical curriculum while preparing students for entry-level careers in the electrical industry. Job Duties and Other Information Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on electrical instruction using the NCCER Core and NCCER Electrical curriculum.

Teach electrical safety, OSHA best practices, basic electrical theory, hand and power tool use, electrical components, wiring methods, conduit installation, and introductory troubleshooting. Prepare lesson plans, demonstrations, and hands-on lab activities that reinforce industry standards. Monitor student attendance, participation, progress, and performance.

Evaluate student knowledge and practical skills through written and hands-on assessments. Maintain a safe, organized, and professional classroom and laboratory environment. Ensure proper use, care, and inventory of tools, equipment, and instructional materials.

Encourage professionalism, teamwork, communication, punctuality, and workplace readiness. Maintain accurate student records and submit required documentation in a timely manner. Promote a positive learning environment that prepares students for employment in the electrical industry.
