Job description

Entryโ€‘Level IT & Electronic Health Systems Specialist (Onโ€‘Site)

Make a Difference. Learn Every Day. Be Part of the Mission.

At our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), our mission comes firstโ€”providing transformative healthcare for all. Behind every provider visit and patient interaction is a team of people and technology working together to make that care possible.

Weโ€™re seeking an entryโ€‘level, onโ€‘site Electronic Health Systems (EHS) / IT Support Specialist who is eager to learn, motivated by purpose, and excited to support the technology that keeps our clinics running. This role is ideal for someone at the start of their IT career who wants handsโ€‘on experience, mentorship, and the chance to make a real impact every day.

This is an inโ€‘person roleโ€”youโ€™ll be embedded with our teams, building relationships, solving problems faceโ€‘toโ€‘face, and becoming a trusted partner to staff and providers.

???? Why This Role Matters

Technology is essential to careโ€”but people are the reason we do this work.

In this role, youโ€™ll help ensure our Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and clinical technologies are reliable, accessible, and supportive of patient care. Youโ€™ll work sideโ€‘byโ€‘side with clinical and administrative staff, helping them do their jobs betterโ€”so patients receive care more safely and efficiently.

Weโ€™re focused on finding someone who:

  • Cares deeply about our mission
  • Enjoys helping others
  • Is curious, dependable, and eager to grow

???? What Youโ€™ll Learn & Do

Support Clinical Systems & EHRs

  • Provide friendly, handsโ€‘on, inโ€‘person support for EHRs and clinical applications
  • Assist with dayโ€‘toโ€‘day system maintenance and basic configuration tasks
  • Help onboard new staff, manage user access, and support workflows
  • Learn and support healthcare systems such as Athena Practice, Dentrix, Liberty, referral tools, and more
  • Assist with basic integration and support of clinical devices (imaging, ultrasound, retina screening tools, etc.)

Be the Goโ€‘To Tech Help for Our Teams

  • Respond to IT service desk requests with patience, empathy, and clear communication
  • Troubleshoot computers, printers, scanners, peripherals, and basic hardware issues
  • Work closely with senior IT staff to support servers, networks, and applications
  • Help maintain Microsoft 365, Active Directory accounts, security groups, and printing

Grow Your IT Skills While Advancing the Mission

  • Participate in system upgrades, training, documentation, and improvement projects
  • Learn healthcare IT best practices in a supportive, missionโ€‘driven environment
  • Contribute to projects that improve care quality, safety, and efficiency

โœจ What Weโ€™re Looking For

We welcome candidates who are motivated, dependable, and missionโ€‘aligned.

  • Associate or Bachelorโ€™s degree in IT, computer science, health informatics, or related field
    OR equivalent entryโ€‘level IT experience
  • Basic familiarity with IT support, troubleshooting, or help desk work
  • Exposure to Microsoft 365, Active Directory, or EHR systems (through school, internships, or work)

We value most:

  • A strong desire to learn and grow
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Comfort working in person with clinicians and staff
  • A collaborative, serviceโ€‘oriented mindset

???? Why Youโ€™ll Love Working Here

  • Your work directly supports care for underserved communities
  • Youโ€™ll gain realโ€‘world IT and healthcare experience
  • Youโ€™ll receive mentorship and opportunities to grow your skills
  • Youโ€™ll work with people who care deeply about patients and each other
  • Youโ€™ll go home knowing your work truly mattered

If youโ€™re looking for more than just a jobโ€”if you want to start your IT career somewhere that values heart, purpose, and peopleโ€”weโ€™d love to meet you.

???? Apply today and help support the technology behind community health.
