Awesome Inc exists to help people pursue their definition of Awesome. We do this through investing in, and helping grow high-tech startups throughout the state of Kentucky. We specialize in software development, web development training for youth and adults, we offer a 12-month Fellowship program to help startups scale, and provide custom software solutions through our sister company, APAX Software. We work downtown in our 18,000 sq ft co-working space. We believe in building a community around technology and entrepreneurship.

The Design Team is responsible for keeping visual elements aligned with the overall mission, message, and branding at Awesome Inc. We look for eager-to-learn individuals who have experience in Adobe Creative Suite and design principles showcasing layout, typography, and effective communication.
We want applicants who haveexperience in Adobe CC to apply (i.e. Acrobat Pro, Illustrator, InDesign,and Photoshop).
Bonus points if you already have a portfolio.

The Marketing Team's mission is to reach and inform our target audiences about Awesome Inc, our initiatives, and events. We accomplish this through many avenues, including our website, newsletters, social media, Google Ads and Analytics, podcasts, blogs, and CRMs. Typically, we look for interns with strengths in copywriting, social media management, data analytics, and video content production.
Copywriting:
We are looking for a strong writer to produce newsletters creatively, promotional emails, articles, and social media posts for all of our initiatives. Applicants must have a sense of ownership, attention to detail, and good communication skills.
Responsibilities include:
  • Creation and management of monthly newsletters with our CRM software, Zoho
  • Event promotion by writing emails, running ads through Eventbrite
  • Writing articles and helping manage the Awesome Inc blog
  • Assisting in writing and editing social media posts

Data Analyst:
We are looking for a creative, self-starter who is excited about learning and applying data analytics to improve marketing campaigns. You should have a passion for data and an attention to detail.
Responsibilities include:
  • Assist in data collection, data entry, and data analysis for a variety of marketing projects
  • Understand business/product strategy and high-level roadmaps to align analytics with data insights
  • Understand the data landscape and work with teams to improve quality/collection of data
  • Ability to spot and understand micro and macro trends, and the key drivers of those trends

Looking for experience in or strong desire/ability to learn:

  • Data-focused analysis, recommendation, and implementation for marketing efforts like social media, newsletters, and SEO.

Social Media Manager:
We are looking for a responsible, reliable, and creative individual who is experienced in using social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Applicants must have a sense of ownership, attention to detail, and good communication skills.

  • Management of social media calendar and engagement
  • Implementing strategies to grow Awesome Inc's following
  • Tracking social media analytics and trends

Video Content Creator:
We are looking for a creative, open-minded individual who has a passion for video content. This individual must have experience using different social media platforms like Instagram, and Tik Tok. Applicants must also have a desire to create content and be able to find new and creative ways to do so.
Responsibilities include:
  • Creation of video content
  • Management of social media calendar and engagement
  • Use current trends towards our marketing effort
  • Utilize personal skillsets and team skills to create a variety of content

5. VENTURE CAPITAL FUND Roles
Are you passionate about venture capital, startups, and the world of finance? As a Venture Intern with a focus on CRM management, you'll play a critical role in helping us find, engage, and track high-potential startups while gaining hands-on experience with industry tools like ZOHO CRM (experience preferred, but not required). You'll assist in managing our pipeline, researching potential investments, and writing one-pagers for companies. You'll also work on industry analysis and market research, building the skills and connections necessary for a future in venture capital, finance, or startup ecosystems.
Responsibilities:
• CRM Management: Help build out, maintain, and optimize our CRM system (experience with ZOHO CRM is a plus).
• Deal Sourcing: Research and identify promising startups and industries.
• Company Analysis: Assist with writing company profiles and one-pagers for investment opportunities.
• Market Research: Conduct research on emerging industries, market trends, and startup ecosystems.
• Collaboration: Work alongside our team to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:

6.VIDEOGRAPHY
We are looking for a tech-savvy, organized, and creative individual who has experience using a digital camera, and video editing (Premiere Pro is preferred). Applicants must have an understanding of how to storyboard in preparation for shoots and know basic camera settings: aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and white balance.
We want applicants with a sense of ownership, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
Responsibilities include:
  • Operating video and audio equipment
  • Editing video footage in appropriate applications
  • Maintaining physical and digital organization of project files (i.e. Google Drive, external drives)
  • Engaging in visual storytelling before, during, and after shoots
