Description:

The Business Solutions & Data Analytics Intern will support the newly established BSDA team in driving data-informed decision-making across the organization. This role provides hands-on experience working with modern data tools and technologies including Power BI, SQL, Python, and emerging AI applications.

The ideal candidate is highly curious, analytical, and excited to learn, with a strong foundation in data and programming.


This internship is designed to provide meaningful exposure to real-world business problems and offers the potential for future growth within the organization for high-performing candidates.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support development and maintenance of interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to deliver insights to business stakeholders
  • Assist in writing and optimizing SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from various systems
  • Utilize Python (or similar tools) to perform data analysis, automation, and data preparation tasks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions
  • Help clean, validate, and organize large datasets to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Assist in exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and improvement opportunities
  • Contribute to ongoing projects related to data modeling, reporting enhancement, and process improvement
  • Support the evaluation and application of emerging technologies, including AI tools, to improve business efficiency and decision-making
  • Document processes, workflows, and solutions to support knowledge sharing across the team


EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field
  • Exposure to programming languages such as Python and SQL required;
  • Familiarity with data analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work with large datasets and maintain high levels of data accuracy
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and apply them in a business environment, including AI-related tools
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines


COMPENSATION:

The pay for this internship is $24.00 – $25.00 per hour.
