Welcome to Love's College Intern Program: The Love’s college internship program is frequently referred to as the best in Oklahoma City. This rapidly growing program provides opportunities for students in multiple areas of the business to receive employee level experience, not just busy work. Students gain valuable knowledge that they can’t get in a classroom; they are guided through proper etiquette of a professional corporate setting. With a high percentage of full time offers, Love’s takes the time to invest not only in the students, but in their future.

Internship Activities: Over the course of the summer, Love’s interns also participate in the following:

  • Instructor led Training (Technical and Soft Skills) 
  • Mentor program
  • Structured performance feedback
  • Formal presentation to Love’s leadership
  • The primary purpose of the  Food and Beverage Innovation Intern is to support the operational needs of the Food Service team while gaining adequate and applicable knowledge for future use. This role provides support in culinary product development and food safety.

Job Functions:

  • Provide support to the Food and Beverage Innovation Team and assist with special research and development projects and food safety projects as required
  • Assists in food events including internal product showings and consumer testing
  • Support general coordination of the Culinary Innovation Center
  • Assist in specification review and associated projects
  • Support a food safety and/or product development project, including working cross-functionally with other departments
  • Works with suppliers and supply partner R&D teams as appropriate
  • Assists in hold-time validation and cook studies
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications: 

  • HS diploma or equivalent required
  • Currently enrolled in a four-year university program, a sophomore level or above (pursuing a bachelor’s degree in food science, culinary arts, culinology, or related degree
  • Food service or culinary experience

Skills and Physical Demands:

    • Ability to work with multiple departments in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
    • High attention to detail and execution completion of tasks
    • Strong problem-solving skills, multitasking capabilities
    • Contribute positively to the organization, both individually and as part of a team
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Must protect and maintain confidentiality without compromise
    • Strong food safety knowledge
    • Scheduling flexibility and travel availability as role/projects require.
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, and stooping. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
    • Ability to give/ receive constructive feedback.
  • This position is located at Love's corporate office in Oklahoma City.
