Job description

The Construction Intern
position is designed for students who are post high school, or enrolled in a a college or technical institute.
This internship program is designed specifically for individuals who want to learn with boots on the ground. Interns will be expected to work alongside crew members on the job site as well as assist job supervisors and project managers, . Responsibilities of each intern will vary based on years in school, prior construction experience, performance on the job, and ability to communicate.
The internship runs from May to August (or as arranged). Expect to travel during the work week and stay overnight as required by jobsite locations. Average work week is Monday-Friday with the possibility of some Saturdays dependent on schedule of project, weather, etc. Compensation will be based on your skills and experience, aligning with the rates for BXCC field operations employees. You will follow the work schedule of the crew or manager you are assisting. Overtime hours are frequent and compensated at appropriate rates.
Who are we looking for? We are looking for students who are currently enrolled in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or other related fields or simply an individual who has interest in the construction industry and willing to work hard. In addition, we are looking for individuals that have shown the following characteristics through school, sports, extra-curricular activities or previous jobs:
