As an AI Researchย Scientistย Iย atย 1910 you will be expected to roll up your sleeves as an Individual Contributor (IC) by keeping up with relevant scientific literature, prototyping promising methods, and contributing to our active drug design campaigns by applying 1910's productionized AI/ML models.ย ย 

Role Descriptionย 

  • Proposeย and prototypeย AIย andย Machine Learningย solutions that address use cases inย 1910'sย design pipelineย 
  • Apply productized AIย and Machine Learningย models to advanceย 1910'sย active drug design campaignswith the support of senior members of the AI Research Teamย ย 
  • Writeย and publish peer reviewed scientific articleswith the support of senior members of the AI Research Teamย 
  • Periodically presenting recent AI research at internal journal clubsย 
  • Learn how a molecule processes through the drug discovery processย 
  • Work cross-functionally with scientific colleagues, being a subject matter expert in how AI and Machine Learning can beย used to answer cheminformatics and bioinformatics questionsย ย 
  • Keepย up-to-dateย onย cutting-edgeย research in the AI for drug discovery spaceย 

Qualificationsย 

  • PhD inย a relevantย discipline (Computer Science, Biology, Chemistry, etc.)ย 
  • Aย strongย understanding of statistics and classical machine learning methods (SVM, RF, etc.)ย 
  • Experience training and deployingย cutting edgeย deep learning methods (Transformers, Graph Neural Networks, etc.)ย 
  • Demonstrated experience writing clean, maintainable, production-quality Python code, with examples available in code repositories.ย 
  • Familiarity withย MLOpsย and DevOps best practicesย 
  • Exposure to distributed computing (Microsoft Azure,ย HPCย Cluster, etc.)ย 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving projects and shifting priorities driven by business needsย 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create clear documentation for roadmaps, proposals, and related materialsย
