OVERVIEW

The Process Improvement / PLM Data Intern will support ASR Group's efforts to improve data quality, reporting, and visibility within Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and related systems. The intern will help organize, clean, and analyze product and formulation data and associated documentation, while partnering with R&D, Operations, Quality, and Regulatory teams to strengthen how information is captured, maintained, and used across the business.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review, clean, and standardize product, formulation, artwork, and documentation data within PLM systems.
  • Identify missing, inconsistent, or duplicate data; perform basic data checks and support corrective updates.
  • Collect and organize data from PLM and related systems; build simple reports and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Support basic analysis to identify trends, gaps, and recurring data-quality issues; summarize findings in charts, tables, and concise written updates.
  • Document current workflows for product data and documentation management; identify opportunities to simplify, improve, or standardize processes.
  • Partner with R&D, Operations, Quality, and Regulatory teams to gather, validate, and maintain product data and support internal requests under guidance.
  • Identify manual or repetitive tasks that could be simplified or automated; support basic automation using templates and spreadsheet-based tools.
  • Maintain organized records of data updates and help draft simple guidelines for data entry and maintenance.

WORK EXPERIENCES

  • Experience working with structured data through coursework, projects, or internships; demonstrated attention to detail and data quality
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, basic formulas); comfort organizing and maintaining datasets
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with cross-functional partners
  • Exposure to reporting and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) preferred
  • Basic familiarity with SQL and/or Python preferred

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

This role has no supervisory responsibility.
