BASIC JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for enhancing the quality of IT services, solutions, and products in line with business objectives. Under minimal supervision, this role takes the lead in identifying process gaps, mapping detailed business workflows, and implementing strategic improvements. Responsible for analyzing data to create and validate functional specifications, facilitating design sessions with stakeholders, and delivering critical elements of system design, business rules, wireframes, or other detailed deliverables.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Serves as a strategic liaison between the IT Department and key business stakeholders to identify process gaps, streamline workflows, and remove obstacles that hinder productivity.
  • Acts as a primary advisor and lead communicator across department and company entities to champion enterprise IT solutions and ensure alignment with overarching business strategy.
  • Drives the quality of IT solutions by guiding teams to effectively execute against highest-value strategic priorities and validating that completed work meets complex stakeholder acceptance criteria.
  • Leads the deep-dive analysis and detailed mapping of technical systems, business models, and operational procedures to recommend strategic improvements.
  • Evaluates, recommends, and plays a lead role in implementing scalable new business technologies (including enterprise systems like ERPs).
  • Architects and proposes robust technological solutions that resolve workflow inefficiencies and meet critical business requirements
  • Authors comprehensive documentation, including detailed process maps, functional specifications, and reports on enterprise application development and implementation.
  • Orchestrates system validation and testing initiatives (such as User Acceptance Testing or A/B tests) and analyzes resulting data to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Attend and participate in internal meetings and group discussions
  • Prepare written progress reports and memoranda as needed to keep management informed as to the status and progress of assignments and projects
  • Assist the Director of Information Technology or other IT team members with projects
  • Other duties as needed

Requirements
Job Qualifications:
Education/Experience - Bachelor's degree in a computer science related discipline required. Requires five (5) years of experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Skill in analyzing data to clarify, update, and improve the business processes impacted by technology solutions. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in areas of expertise. Ability to analyze operational requirements and assess data processing technology and capacity requirements. Knowledge of a broad range of relevant multi-user computer systems, applications, and/or equipment. Ability to identify integrated hardware/software systems solutions to organizational requirements.
