The Cincinnati Insurance Companies are currently seeking undergraduate intern(s) for a number of our Information Technology / Computer Science roles and departments. Our successful candidates will want to gain a meaningful work experience with us for Summer 2027.
Work location and flexibility are subject to change based on evolving business needs, but generally, selected candidates who reside:
  • within 50 miles of Headquarters may be expected to work in a hybrid capacity, combining remote and onsite work when business needs necessitate.
  • more than 50 miles from Headquarters must be flexible and available to travel to Fairfield, OH, on an occasional basis for special events, training sessions, or key meetings.

Starting Pay: Begins at $18 per hour and is based on the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities
Be equipped with/to (may vary by department):
  • assist with business activities and processes
  • participate and contribute to team meetings, presentations, and projects
  • research emerging trends, data analysis, and evaluate options
  • generate reports, assist with documentation, and patching
  • serve internal and external customers
  • understanding of SQL, Github, Jira, and Splunk is preferred
  • provide support for multiple on-site Opex scanners for monthly maintenance and troubleshooting
  • understanding of computer networks (TCP/IP protocol, load balancing, monitoring, etc.), Linux/Windows server platform, virtualization, cloud computing concepts
  • understanding of front-end/back-end or full-stack development concepts
  • effective communication skills with the ability to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical audience
  • ability to interact effectively with management and colleagues to prioritize and organize work
  • willingness to continually learn new technologies, skills, and improved processes
  • reliable and service-oriented mindset

Requirements:
  • enrolled as a full-time, undergraduate student at an accredited college/university (2nd year or above preferred)
  • all majors are welcome to apply
  • collegiate transcripts required with submission of candidate profile (unofficial are acceptable)
  • in good academic standing (cumulative GPA: 3.0 or higher preferred)
  • must be able to work up to 40 hours per week
  • proficient in Microsoft® Office tools and related software
