Job description

The Division of Professional Studies prepares students for careers and transfer opportunities through programs in Business Administration, Computer Media Technology, Education, Hospitality, Visual Media Arts, Paralegal and Legal Studies, and Criminal Justice and Public Safety. Taught by experienced professionals and practitioners, programs combine industry expertise with academic instruction to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and critical thinking needed for success in today's workforce and continued education.
BHCC is seeking dynamic adjunct faculty to join the adjunct teaching pool in the Computer Media Technology Department for Fall semester.
The Computer Media Technology Department offers the following courses scheduled in-person, day (8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) or evening (6:00 p.m. or 7:30 p.m.) offerings.
  • CMT-101 Game Development Essentials
  • CMT-111 HTML5
  • CMT-113 JavaScript
  • CMT-235 Node.js
  • CMT-250 Mobile Web Applications

Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Game Design, Game Development, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Interactive Media, Digital Media, Animation, Web Development or related field.
  • Master's degree in another field with 18 graduate credits in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a closely related discipline.
  • Preferred expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, or Vue, PHP, Python, Java, or .NET, Database design and SQL, Responsive and accessible web design, or Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Commitment to advancing equity and access in the classroom.
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.
  • College teaching experience preferred.

Salary: Starting at $1,512.00 per credit hour
