Job description

WEC Business Services LLC, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Cloud Data Developer in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin or Chicago, Illinois locations. This position currently offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time regularly spent in the office.
 
This position is part of a job family (IT Applications Analyst and Senior IT Applications Analyst) where experience will be the determining factor. If you are currently in this Job Family, it will be a lateral move.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop, build and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS services
  • Design and optimize data lake and data warehouse architecture
  • Collaborate closely with data analysts, business stakeholders and other team members to model datasets and enable self-service analytics
  • Enforce best practices in cloud security, cost optimization and infrastructure as code for cloud solutions
  • Provide continuous operational support for the analytics ecosystem through proactive monitoring, issue resolution and ongoing enhancements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, MIS, Data Science, Information Science, Engineering is required. Other bachelor’s degrees will be considered based on related IT experience. Successful completion of a certified Application Development Apprenticeship will also be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • 2 years of IT experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of AWS development experience
  • AWS technology experience such as EC2, Lambda, EMR and Redshift
  • Apache Spark framework experience and an understanding of distributed systems and storage
  • Strong understanding of RDBMS systems, SQL querying techniques and data modeling principles
  • Azure, Power BI and Fabric experience
  • Production support experience with large enterprise applications

End Date: 07/29/2026 

Pay Range Minimum:  $78,702.26 

Pay Range Maximum:  $135,761.08 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.

This position is eligible for an employee referral bonus.
