Job Schedule: 9/80:Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off

Job Description:ย 

  • Structural analysis ofย aircraftย modifications, including design support, and preparation of technical documentation necessary to ensure airworthinessย 

  • Determination of stress levels in primary and secondaryย aircraftย structure, systems, and equipment resulting from applied and induced loads, as well as the comparison of these stresses with material properties to predict failure and structural instabilities givenย due considerationย to applicable failure theoriesย 

Qualifications:ย 

  • To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing aย Bachelor'sย degreeย Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics,Materials Scienceย Engineeringย or related fieldย or have completed theirย Bachelor'sย degree within the last 12ย months,ย ย regardlessย of age.ย 

Preferred Skills:ย 

  • CAD or analysis (FEA) tools exposure, and/or experience in mechanical design or analysis of electronic systems,ย structuresย and mechanismsย 

  • Familiarity withย transducerย instrumentation, data collection and or automation and software programming for numerical analysisย 

  • Must be able to apply the principles of Structural Mechanics to predict internal stresses and structural instabilitiesย 

  • Must be able to generate free body diagrams,ย determineย reaction forces, calculate internal loads, and develop shear and moment diagramsย 

  • Working knowledge of one programming languageย 

  • Familiarity with finite element methods and fatigue and damage tolerance principlesย
