Job description

Job Summary:
Swagelok is a global organization and one of the largest employers of manufacturing talent in Northeast Ohio. The Analytics Lead is responsible for developing advanced analytical solutions that deliver business value and supports the Commercial organization via the Commercial Data & Analytics team.
Responsibilities:
• Cultivates and leverages relationships across the department to better understand the functional priorities, business context and analytics needs to generate analytical solutions that answer business questions.
• Develops consumable advanced analytical solutions, ensures robust, scalable and sustainable datasets and models, executes high performing data management practices.
• Performs analytics engineering tasks to transform raw data into clean, reliable, and well-documented datasets.
• Responsible for assessment, requirements gathering and complex analysis, at an advanced level
• Leads analytics projects that can be leveraged to advance functional priorities
• Champions the use of data and insight across the department
• Identifies opportunities to improve decision-making based on analysis
• Collaborates with Information Technology to develop or refine business requirements, data management and analytics solutions, procedures, workflows and best practices.
• Plans and executes standard and ad hoc data analysis in response to business needs
• Ensures that all processes and metadata are documented
• Demonstrates creative thinking when approaching new problems or tasks
• Perform, train and lead analytics tasks, projects and activities within the team
• Serves as the technical mentor and coach for peer analysts on the team
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics or related field
• 7-10 years overall experience with minimum 3-5 years of experience in Business Intelligence and Business Analytics initiatives
• Analytical and skilled in problem solving
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to organize and handle multiple requests and projects
• Experience with Power BI, SQL
• Organizational awareness and ability to work and network with business partners and colleagues from different areas of the organization
Preferred:
• Master’s degree in computer science, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics or related field
