Job Description

The IT Support Technician is the first line of support for users both in the office and manufacturing/production environment. This position will provide support for and maintain in-house devices and computer systems. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance. With a high level of customer service and sense of urgency, you will respond to work requests in-person throughout the manufacturing plant.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ย ย ย ย Local IT support for the Alabama plant - 1st level end-user support
ย ย ย ย Operation of local data center (servers and applications)
ย ย ย ย Cooperation with Corporate IT and Implementation of Corporate IT Guidelines
ย ย ย ย Operation of local IT infrastructure (i.e. network, firewalls, switches, phone system, etc.)
ย ย ย ย Assure continuity of the computer system for all system users
ย ย ย ย Install selected software and hardware products
ย ย ย ย Work closely with vendors to ensure continuity of service and purchase of local IT equipment
ย ย ย ย Stay abreast of the latest developments in MIS technology
ย ย ย ย Provide technical assistance and advice to users as needed
ย ย ย ย Maximize opportunities which help HYCO achieve its core objectives.
