John Deere is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to help secure our next generation of connected vehicles. This role will focus on securing embedded controllers, vehicle networks, and the cloudbased services that connect to them, ensuring our products are resilient against evolving cyber threats while meeting global regulatory requirements. As a seniorlevel engineer, you will operate as a technical leader and security subjectmatter expert, influencing architecture, development practices, and risk decisions across multiple product lines. You will work closely with embedded software, electrical systems, and cloud platform teams to implement cryptographic security controls.

The following are the responsibilities of the team:
Define and review security architectures for embedded systems, influencing the design of new features (embedded, cloud and mobile) to ensure that our security needs can be met
Design key management, and access control mechanisms for resource constrained embedded environments
Design and develop new security solutions to support autonomy

Minimum skills required:
8+ years of full-stack software development experience, including Python-based backend services
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering or experience that would be equivalent.
