Leidos is excited to announce an opportunity for a mission-driven Sr. Data Scientist to support cutting-edge intelligence work at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton, VA! In this role, you'll provide technical and analytical support and information and provide recommendations for data collection, algorithm development, processing, design and exploitation for the operations of ACC A2 Staff tasks and projects.
You'll bring impactful, real-world solutions to the Air Force intelligence community.
Note-Funding expected to begin mid September.
What You'll Do:
Design, develop, train, and deploy custom Machine Learning (ML) models and Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms to solve specific operational intelligence challenges. The Contractor shall continuously monitor, test, and refine these deployed models to ensure accuracy, reduce algorithmic bias, and mitigate hallucinations.
Primary focus is to develop and deliver specialized, hands-on training  on  the practical application of AI/ML frameworks to include those unique to AFSCI. The Contractor shall serve as an embedded technical mentor, providing over-the-shoulder support to train intelligence analysts on how to interpret AI-generated outputs, engineer effective prompts, and transition legacy analog workflows into modernized, AI-assisted processes.
Support data modeling builds, data coalescence and data element aggregation
Utilize statistics, data mining, and predictive analytics to manage large amounts of data, merge data sources, ensure consistency of datasets, create data visualizations, and build mathematical models and present findings.
