Role Overview
As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I, you will perform diagnostic testing and quality control procedures to ensure accurate and timely patient results. This role includes preparing reagents, reviewing and overseeing moderate to high complexity testing, maintaining laboratory instruments, and ensuring all work complies with established procedures and regulatory standards.
You will contribute to the reliability and precision of laboratory operations while supporting BayCare's mission of providing exceptional, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic testing and quality control procedures according to laboratory policies.
  • Prepare reagents and maintain laboratory supplies and materials.
  • Review and oversee moderate to high complexity testing for accuracy.
  • Monitor and maintain laboratory instruments and computer applications.
  • Report test results accurately and promptly in compliance with procedures.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and maintenance activities as required.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform other laboratory duties as assigned.
Qualifications
🧪 Certification & Licensure
  • Required: State of Florida - Clinical Laboratory Technologist License

🎓 Education
  • Required: Associate's Degree in Medical Technology or related field
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a related field
