Backend Developer
Position Summary
We are seeking a Backend Developer to support the design, development, and enhancement of its suite of software applications of the Apprenticeship Compliance System. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to contribute effectively within a collaborative development environment.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 annually
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package
  • Work Schedule: Hybrid

Primary Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend application and database components for both new and existing systems
  • Participate in the review and development of technical requirements and system specifications
  • Contribute to the development of test cases, scenarios, and plans to ensure alignment with business requirements
  • Implement system enhancements, modifications, and monitoring solutions in accordance with approved requirements

Additional Responsibilities
  • Develop and expand database structures, APIs, and ETL processes
  • Ensure adherence to data privacy, security, and protection standards
  • Participate in team meetings to communicate progress, identify challenges, and support development planning
  • Diagnose and resolve performance issues, including memory utilization and I/O bottlenecks
  • Provide technical support related to asynchronous processing and application performance optimization

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience Requirements: 4-6 years of professional software development experience, or a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience within the .NET ecosystem, including Entity Framework Core
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve performance-related issues
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
