Job description

CLOSETS BY DESIGN - UTAH is a leader in the home organizing industry. We are passionate about maximizing home storage spaces with beautiful, customized solutions.

We design, build and install custom closets, garage cabinets, mud-rooms, offices, pantries and much more.

We are currently in search of an enthusiastic, detailed oriented, responsible and motivated individual to promptly assume the role of Custom Closet/CAD Drafter and Engineer.

Then this pivotal position within our Team is for you! This position includes interpreting custom closet designs and transforming them, with perfection, into purchase orders and working shop CAD drawings that will be submitted to our manufacturing facility.

You will also be expected to be passionate about learning and improving our Software and Machining capabilities!

Responsibilities:
  • Review sales designs to ensure compliance with the companyโ€™s product offerings and installation requirements.
  • Comprehensively review designs with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Collaboratively address and resolve design queries efficiently.
  • Compile an accurate cutlist detailing all parts and machining requirements for the design components.
  • Complete and submit necessary orders to various vendors within established time frames in accordance with lead times and company standards.
  • Adhere to all company policies and uphold standards of behavior and performance.
  • Work well within a Team!
  • Be a Problem Solver, not a Problem Reporter
Minimum Preferred Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (College training is preferred)
  • Familiarity with computer usage and technology
  • Preferably experienced in Cabinet Vision or other CAD software
  • Manufacturing experience is desirable
