Job description

Summary
The Repair Value Stream Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, programming, testing, and documenting two-way radio communication equipment. This role supports final repair, quality validation, and shipment activities for communication technology supporting U.S. Federal Government customers.
Main Responsibilities
Repair, upgrade, and program client two-way radios
Set up, adjust, and operate test equipment according to established procedures
Monitor equipment performance and conduct operational testing
Document radio and device performance while validating test results
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues using approved methods and procedures
Collect and record serial numbers, model numbers, feature information, and test results
Perform radio depot repair activities and hardware upgrades
Clean and prepare equipment for final shipment
Follow repair processes, quality standards, and documentation requirements
Expected Contributions (First 90-120 Days)
Complete training and become independently productive
Support repair throughput goals and quality objectives
Successfully perform troubleshooting and repair functions
Maintain accurate repair and compliance documentation
Contribute positively to team performance and customer satisfaction
Required Qualifications
Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), Electronics Engineering Technology (EE), or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of two-way radio systems and RF communications
Understanding of RF and electronics theory
Experience using telecommunications test equipment such as:
Digital Volt Meters (DVMs)
Service Monitors
Watt Meters
Proficiency with Windows-based applications
Experience with Microsoft Excel and Google Docs
Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow established procedures
Experience troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, programming, and testing electronic equipment
Required Experience
1 to 3 years of related experience OR
Associate Degree in EE/EET with relevant technical experience
Experience includes:
Radio depot repair operations
Radio programming and upgrades
Troubleshooting and diagnostics
Documentation and data collection
Telecommunications and RF test equipment
Windows operating systems and computer hardware
