General Responsibility - The Maintenance Technician will have daily responsibilities to include ensuring compliance with safety/ environmental policies and support TPM and Lean processes. Maintenance Technicians are also responsible for executing the TPM process while supporting production to ensure efficient operations and its continual improvements.
Job Duties/Essential Functions:
  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibration on assigned equipment and instrumentation
  • Troubleshoot and Repair six axis robotics and pick and place robotics
  • Electrical troubleshooting including PLC's using discreet and analog inputs/outputs
  • Troubleshoot and repair modern injection molding machines, including: hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and computer based machine issues
  • Troubleshoot and repair material conveying systems
  • Have the ability to operate man lifts to a height of 30feet
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring and testing instruments
  • Remove defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools, and examining form and texture of parts
  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and pneumatic control system problems on production machinery, auxiliary equipment, and fixtures
  • Communicate with supervisor and production personnel to ensure efficient operations
  • Assist with set up and tear down of packaging line

Minimum Requirements:
  • Able to read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic prints
  • Knowledge of computer components, installation and configuring
  • Strong mechanical skills with the ability to work from mechanical drawing to interpret how mechanical parts are disassembled/ re-assembled
  • Knowledge of how PLC's work
  • Must be able to communicate well with others both verbally and in writing
  • Physically able to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to perform duties within small areas, as small as 2 ft x 2 ft
  • Own a roll around toll box with a mechanics type tool assortment
  • Job related experience with troubleshooting of 1 to 3 years
  • Injection molding experience, preferred
  • PLC experience preferred, but not required
