Job description

Overview

CTG is seeking a Depot Technician to support the repair and refurbishment of point-of-sale (POS) hardware in a fast-paced repair center environment. This role is ideal for candidates with electronics repair experience who enjoy hands-on technical work and delivering high-quality results.

Location: Durham, NC
Duration: 12+ months, with possibility for extension

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair POS equipment, printers, displays, and system components.
  • Perform bench testing, inspections, cleaning, and component replacement.
  • Document repairs, parts usage, and inventory transactions using computer-based systems.
  • Pick, pack, and ship equipment and replacement parts.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Assist with training new technicians and support team objectives.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of electronics repair or hardware assembly experience.
  • Experience using hand tools and troubleshooting electronic equipment.
  • Strong computer, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for most of the workday.
  • Ability to work shifts between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, including rotational Saturdays.
  • Computer hardware repair experience is preferred.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
