Full Time Arlington, VA, US

Salary Range: $95,000.00 To $120,000.00 Annually

About SHR Consulting Group

SHR Consulting Group, LLC is a small business delivering enterprise IT, cybersecurity, and program management services to the Department of Defense and federal civilian agencies. We support mission-critical infrastructure at the Pentagon and across the National Capital Region, and we invest in our people through competitive compensation, professional certification support, and long-term career growth on stable, multi-year programs.

Position Summary

We are a rapidly growing organization seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the transitions of multiple projects in a large enterprise DoD IT environment supporting the DISA Joint Service Provider (JSP). The successful candidate will provide formal project management for areas of focus within Engineering to Operations, ensuring scope, schedule, and resources are managed to Government-approved requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • With the direction of the IT PMO Lead, oversee end-to-end project management activities and deliver project schedules for initiatives and transitions.
  • Provide weekly status updates on all initiatives and maintain accurate status on a SharePoint site and within the enterprise project management system (PROMIS or equivalent).
  • Track initiative tasks and subtasks in the enterprise ITSM ticket system (Remedy/Helix), and document level of effort, time, and resources involved.
  • Create or update documentation required to support each initiative, including future O&M plans and supporting RMF artifacts.
  • Coordinate Platform Service project tasks for early lifecycle backups, monitoring, and patching; provide design and transition feedback to the JSP Transition team within 5 business days.
  • Update internal SOPs, Work Instructions, and CMDB records to reflect the transitioned project.
  • Maintain situational awareness of project lifecycles and provide Platform Services feedback on project scope changes in weekly status updates.
  • Develop and present project briefs to JPH/JSP Leadership and provide PROMIS inputs within 48 hours of meetings with Division leadership.
  • Apply industry-standard project management practices in accordance with PMI / PMBOK and ITIL service transition principles.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Five (5) or more years of project management experience on DoD or federal IT services contracts, including managing concurrent initiatives or technology transitions.
  • Hands-on experience using enterprise project management and ITSM tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Remedy, ServiceNow) and SharePoint to manage portfolios.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams across computing, storage, virtualization, applications, cyber, and operations disciplines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to brief Government leadership and produce executive-level project documentation.
  • Working understanding of DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), STIGs, and IAVM impacts on project schedules and acceptance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedule, cost, risk, and stakeholders for IT modernization projects in a complex enterprise environment.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a closely related technical field; OR equivalent combination of education, training, AND at least five (5) recent years of documented relevant project management experience.

Required Certifications

100% onsite at a government facility within the National Capital Region (NCR), primarily at the Pentagon, Crystal Gateway, Taylor Building, Mark Center, or other JSP-designated alternate site. Must be local to the DC Metro Area with reliable transportation.

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience and clearance level.
