FULL TIME RESEARCH SCHOLAR
New York University Tandon School of Engineering
The Department of Finance and Risk Engineering at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Full Time Scholar to work with Professor Nizar Touzi.
New York University (NYU) is one of the top private universities in the United States, and the Tandon School of Engineering, located in Brooklyn, NY, is deeply committed to excellence in teaching and learning. Tandon fosters student and faculty innovation and entrepreneurship that make a difference in the world. The Department of Finance and Risk Engineering develops research in the most advanced technical methods for decision modeling in economics and finance, and the latest statistical and computational developments related to this area.
Expectations
Candidates will be responsible for project on model risk hedging. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated background in stochastic analysis, optimal transport and the related numerical approximation and implementation methods as exemplified by a strong publication record. Previous experience on computer programming in Python is desired.
Salary:
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position is $50,000 depending on the candidate's experience and qualification.
Qualifications
Candidates should have at least a MS in Mathematics or a related field and a strong research experience comparable to a PhD degree. Candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States.
