Job Summary:

The Information Services Division (ISD) is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Applications Developer Senior/Lead for the SWAT Team within the Information Services Division at AHCCCS. The Applications Developer Senior/Lead primary duties include systems analysis, design and development of applications. This role is responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of business area being worked upon and continually reviewing how that business function interacts with the other business functions that form the entire business process. In addition, the role is responsible for preparing program documentation, promote packages and forms as well as preparing test data for unit and system testing. This position requires interaction as directed by the project manager or project leader, with users, peers, and other technical staff as needed during the requirements analysis, design, development, test review, and implementation of assigned tasks. Completing other duties as assigned and being available to respond to on-call situations.

Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Performing technical systems analysis tasks
Coding and modifying programs
Testing and debugging programs
Lead team in the design and implementation of major development projects; design applications (or approve design) oversee work of project team and provide lead work in systems administration
Performs and participates in unit and system testing
Performing user requirements systems analysis tasks
Reviewing, discussing, and comprehending assignments with project manager
Assisting Application Developers with assignments, technical tasks, and training. Documenting programs
Attends status meetings. Responds to on-call situations

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge:
Working knowledge of a variety of computer programming language(s) - (C#, ASP.NET and ADO.NET)
Working knowledge of software development methodologies (waterfall, agile)
Working knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery and style sheets
Broad knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, XML, ActiveX; .NET framework and related operating systems relevant to the environment being used by the agency
Working knowledge of SQL 2000 and above and relational database structures
Working knowledge of COM/DCOM and ODBC
Conversant in Object Oriented Terminology and Techniques, Visual Studio, Web Services, Team Foundation Server and Microsoft Office Suite
AZURE cloud technology, DevOps and GitHub
Skills:
Complex coding of C#, ASP.NET, and ADO.NET
Complex relational database tasks
Complete lifecycle systems design, analysis, and testing procedures
Developing and executing project workplans
Verbal and written communications
Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to work closely with business and other diversely talented technologists with a high degree of accuracy and detail
Interface with users and all stakeholders in order to determine their evolving needs
Work independently as well as in a team

Qualifications:

Minimum:
Bachelor's degree plus 8 or more years of programming and analysis experience (or equivalent experience).
