Summary:


The Electrical Engineer Intern is responsible for assisting with engineering projects across multiple phases, including fabrication, testing, and evaluation of equipment or prototypes. This practical experience provides the intern with varied assignments under general supervision while contributing to innovative solutions that are important to both their professional growth and NAIโ€™s business success.


This Internship is for Summer 2026.

Requirements:
  • Build prototype circuitry under the guidance of engineers.
  • Assist in testing and debugging to the component level.
  • Help write test procedures and document engineering evaluations on products, specifications, and requirements.
  • Support resolution of design problems on production hardware.
  • Document schematics using schematic capture software.
  • Contribute to programs for microprocessors, components, or automated test systems.
  • Draft test reports that demonstrate product performance.
  • Participate in team discussions about product development and production support needs.
  • Candidates must be a U.S. Person, defined as either a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder), and must be able to provide appropriate documentation upon hire to verify this status. Please note that some positions involve sensitive customer contracts and require U.S. citizenship as a condition of employment.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Enrolled in an Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering program.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows applications.
  • Knowledge of drafting tools, schematic capture software, and power supply circuitry.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • Previous internship, project, or coursework experience in power supply design, digital design, or embedded systems.
  • Familiarity with engineering lab tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other test equipment.
  • Exposure to programming languages such as C or C++.
  • Self-motivated with curiosity and desire to learn new technologies.

Full-time schedules for Summer internships. (40 hour week) Approx. Start Date End of May/Beg of June.

This is a paid Internship. Internship salary is based on position and academic year standing.
