Job Summary:
Computer Futures is a leading IT recruitment consultancy specializing in placing IT experts in permanent and contract roles across Asia, Europe and the US. The Programmer Analyst 3 will provide development for applications and interfaces, support and maintain HL7 Interfaces, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective interface development.
Responsibilities:
• provide development for applications and interfaces
• work in close collaboration with clinical and corporate stakeholders to provide interface development
• support, maintain and develop HL7 Interfaces utilizing the Cloverleaf Interface Engine
• evaluate user requirements for interface development and enhancements
• design, develop, support and maintain interfaces in a complex and heterogeneous IT environment
• developing and maintaining interface support documentation
• providing support to various IT related projects as needed
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years’ experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems
• 5 or more years of related experience in software design and development
• 5 or more years working with Cloverleaf and/or other interface engines.
• Knowledge of clinical applications and systems (Practice Management Systems, Lab Information Systems, Radiation Systems, Electronic Heath Record Applications)
• Experienced in programming in various languages and databases for client/server and web-based applications and systems
• Experienced in creating high quality, well documented interfaces (HL7, EDI or XML)
• Ability to function productively on multiple project teams simultaneously
• Ability to work independently without any supervision
• Experienced working in a high paced environment and ability to work effectively under pressure/stressful conditions to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work well in a team and interact effectively.
• Ability to provide level of effort estimates and to perform tasks within the estimated level of effort and schedule
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
Preferred:
• Experience working in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Understanding of HL7 standards.
• Knowledge of ITIL is an asset.
• ITIL certifications a plus.
