STATUS: PART-TIME (NON-EXEMPT)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Guest Services provides the point of contact for all guests in the 10,000 square foot Fitness Center. The Fitness Concierge is expected to provide world-class service to all members and guests, assist members with fitness class signups, keep area clean, safe, organized assist floor staff when needed, build and update class schedules and other duties as assigned.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Directly aligns with the Morristown Landing's Mission Statement and Core Values
  • Complete rounds on the fitness floor such as equipment upkeep, cleaning, checking in on members/guests needs, etc.
  • Maintain the fitness area computer system
  • Greet members and guests and provide prompt answers and directions as needed
  • Cultivate an environment of world-class fitness instruction with enthusiasm to all Morristown Landing visitors, members, and customers
  • Be knowledgeable about prices, programming, and the daily venue schedule
  • Assist with maintaining accurate records of participant waivers, event information and incident reports
  • Work to resolve all guest concerns and complaints and/or direct to appropriate Manager
  • Help provide guest feedback/concerns medium for communication, and direct that feedback to the appropriate supervisor
  • Understand and help enforce Morristown Landing's policies and procedures
  • Complete special projects, daily assignments and other duties as directed by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma, GED or bachelor's degree in exercise science, health education, public health or related field is preferred
  • Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours) and regular attendance necessary
  • Highly recommend CPR/AED/First Aid certification - currently holding or willing to become certified
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Must have excellent guest service skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to operate and use all equipment in facilities

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds waist high
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, or bend
  • Will be required to operate a computer and phone
  • Must wear proper uniform
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
