Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with a team of professionals in reviewing civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of transportation projects.
  • Perform analysis of data.
  • Field Inspection and/or Material Testing.
  • Draft plans in CAD.
  • Create text and spreadsheet documents.
  • Review studies such as traffic studies, mobility studies and project assessments.
  • Manage projects, studies and special assignments.
  • Create and give presentations.
 
IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • A strong work ethic with the desire to learn
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to perform independent research on the internet
  • A strong interest in working within the public sector.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail
  • Team-oriented with strong capability to work independently
  • Ability to work for large portions of the day on tasks unsupervised
  • CAD and GIS skills desirable
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be a student with a minimum of 60 college credits of related college level coursework completed by start date, or bachelor’s degree in related field to civil engineering, traffic engineering, transportation engineering or transportation planning
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Fluent in English
  • Must have a state issued identification or visa/work permit.
