Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Federal Intern, we'll count on you to:

- Perform engineering calculations, code reviews, sizing, and selecting materials & equipment.

- Participate in site visits and surveys - Develop design drawings.

- Develop procurement and construction specifications

- Perform bid evaluations

- Evaluate existing systems and equipment

- Technical/report writing, participating in team meetings, communicating with equipment vendors

- Perform other duties as needed.

This internship is expected to start in August of 2026

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous internship or coursework in power and energy

- Minimum 3.0 GPA

- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to the field of study/industry

- Experience with computer-aided design programs (AutoCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks, Revit, etc.)

- Preference is given to local candidates.

  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
