Position Summary

SURVICE Engineering is currently seeking a Computer Network Architect to support our Aberdeen Research Operation. You will accelerate your career and become an integral team member within the defense community.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities of Computer Network Architect

  • Work with the Senior Network Engineer to design, build, and maintain the cyber range and computer test bed environments.

  • Plan network layouts, servers, and data storage.

  • Set up new hardware and update software.

  • Find and solve errors in programs and networks.

  • Engineer and administer virtualization platforms.

  • Test systems for security risks, fix complex technical problems, and plan IT upgrades.

  • Support integration and operation of technologies (e.g., camera systems, ICS/SCADA environments, IoT devices, RF systems, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications of Computer Network Architect 
High School Diploma and 3+ years of relevant experience. Candidates are not required to possess all qualifications; is you possess some of the desired qualifications, please apply.

Desired Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the configuration and operation of cyber range or computer test bed environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and configuring computer networks including routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, active directory, VPNs, VLANs, SANs utilizing bare metal and virtualized systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with automation, provisioning, imaging, orchestration, and configuration management experience with Ansible, Chef, FOG, Project, python, and bash scripting. Cloud, physical, and virtual network architect, engineering, and infrastructure monitoring experience required. Expertise with hypervisors such as VMware, KVM, and Xen.
  • Demonstrated experience with Windows enterprise and Linux server/operating systems engineering, and administration with knowledge of network vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and mitigation.
  • Demonstrated experience with a wide variety of technology, to include camera systems, ICS/SCADA, IoT, and RF devices.
  • Must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT II requirements.
