Job description:

CSI – a custom hardware/software engineering company headquartered in Richardson, TX, is seeking a talented Program Manager. The Program Manager (PM) include the management of the internal planning, scheduling, and budgeting aspects of complex projects. The PM will guide all internal aspects of projects and guide the integrated project team to meet program objectives and delivery schedules. They will also act as the primary interface to the external Program Manager and support them as required in customer meetings and communications.

This Manager is expected to oversee the direct program work, resources, and dollars using an advanced understanding of program management methodology, program control principles, and direct participation in all aspects of the program. They are also responsible for the preparation and analysis of monthly trend and financial performance reports and working with direct labor contributors to develop accurate Estimates To Complete (ETCs).

The selected candidate will be subject to government security investigations and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

A requirement of this job is that you obtain and maintain a security clearance and you must be a U.S. citizen.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Ability to manage large, complex development and/or production programs and the ability to manage assigned programs and respective program teams
  • Direct all phases of the program from initial planning through all phases to successful product delivery and contract close out
  • Establish and manage the program budgets to support the individual program requirements
  • Support the external Program Manager in developing the Program IMS by establishing the internal schedule to include the internal milestones and phases as established by the respective program teams
  • Establish and monitor adherence to program master plans and schedules, identify program problems, and obtain solutions
  • Assist in the overall program risk and opportunity management process
  • Lead program teams composed of multi-disciplined, matrix personnel to ensure realization of program objectives
  • Maintain program financial forecasts, report progress to financial objectives
  • Experience with Earned Value Management concepts and processes
  • Ability to clearly communicate program status, issues, risks, opportunities and plans to internal senior management and external Program Manager
  • Ensure coordination across multiple programs and/or projects and with other product line leads
  • Candidate must be able to collaborate in a team environment, prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish the project result, prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplishing them simultaneously, and comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Project
  • STEM or Business Management related bachelor’s degree
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and a DoD Secret security clearance is required


Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS or MBA Preferred
  • Program Controls/Program Management certifications preferred
  • Current Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience with tools such as Deltek CostPoint, COBRA, ProPricer, and Microsoft Excel


Candidate Must Possess the Ability to:

  • Manage multiple concurrent priorities and meet critical deadlines
  • Work independently as well as part of a team; self-motivated
  • Be adaptive and proactive
  • Show initiative by seeking ways to improve processes and data analysis
  • Understand Crescent Systems financial and accounting policies and procedures
  • Deliver well-defined written products and professional presentation skills for briefings/meetings, including demonstrated ability to present information to Finance lead analyst and manager
  • Good computer skills, which include proficiency with Microsoft Excel functions (Pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
  • Comprehend exposure to major financial metrics, Bookings / Sales / Profit / Cash
  • Perform other duties as required
