The Opportunity

We're looking for a Geomatics Quality Control Technician to join our Geomatics team.

In this role, you'll perform quality control on survey data and geomatics deliverables, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project requirements. Working closely with field crews and project teams, you'll help maintain the high standards that support utility and infrastructure projects across North America.

What You'll Do
  • Perform quality control reviews of survey data, calculations, and geomatics deliverables
  • Validate, process, and organize survey data using Trimble Business Center and other industry-standard software
  • Collaborate with field crews and project teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with project standards
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data discrepancies and quality issues
  • Support the preparation and delivery of accurate geomatics project deliverables
  • Maintain quality assurance processes and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
  • Analyze data using Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in quality control processes and workflows
  • Support the implementation of new technologies and automation tools where appropriate

Requirements

What We're Looking For
  • Experience performing quality control for geomatics or surveying projects
  • Proficiency with Trimble Business Center
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with MicroSurvey and/or AutoCAD
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Programming experience (e.g. Python or VBA) is considered an asset

Expected annual salary: $60,000-$110,000 (actual compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and current market conditions.)
