Job description

Parts Delivery Driver

Parts Delivery Drivers are the front-line employees representing Southport Truck to most of our customers. The job is focused on three key areas: verifying and delivering parts, collecting payment when indicated, and picking up parts returns from customers.

Essential Duties:

  • Verifying and labeling orders for delivery to customers.
  • Loading vehicle with parts securely to ensure safety and access to parts according to order of stops.
  • Drive safely utilizing GPS and obeying all laws and rules of the road.
  • Deliver parts to customers utilizing tablet to document delivery and take Proof of Delivery photo.
  • Pickup returns from customers and document all required information.
  • Handle and process payments from customers as indicated.
  • Build and develop relationships with customers to help drive growth.
  • Assist in Parts Department as needed.
  • Pull customer orders as needed.
  • Pickup parts from vendors.
  • Follow all safety guidelines.
  • Other duties and tasks, as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be willing and able to sit for long periods.
  • Must be willing and able to lift up to 50lbs throughout shift.
  • Must be willing and able to turn, pivot, step up, and step down.
  • Must be willing and able to walk 3+ miles a shift.
  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
  • Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record meeting guidelines set forth by the company's insurance carrier.
  • Computer literate with the willingness to learn the software programs utilized by the Company.
