Job description


We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Operations Coordinator to join "Team Green." In this role, you will be serving as a critical link between our dispatch team, field drivers, customers, and management. You will handle daily work order processing, track compliance documentation, and ensure our fast-paced daily logistics run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Track, and process operational work orders daily. Ensure all customer records, billing, and order changes are entered accurately into internal operating systems (OMS)..

  • Answer incoming customer inquiries regarding service tracking, statements, or updates. Collaborate closely with Dispatch, Office Administration, and Account Managers to resolve field issues.

  • Review field paperwork for accuracy, verify missing job documentation, assist with vendor invoice posting, and generate purchase orders (POs) or expense tracking logs.

  • Ensure field technicians have up-to-date training certificates, organize health and safety documentation, and always model GFL's safety-first workplace culture.

  • Participates in the after-hours / on-call program

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task in a busy environment with unexpected interruptions.

  • Strong analytical, interpretive, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of French is considered a strong asset, but is not required for this position.

  • Computer savvy, working knowledge of Google applications.Ability to quickly master proprietary dispatch, routing, and order management software (OMS).
