The Opportunity:

The DSOP platform is a regularly evolving suite of software development and delivery tools. It is hosted on AWS and leverages all cloud native technologies. It is a container driven ecosystem hosted on Amazons Elastic Kubernetes Service. Currently, it consists of the following software tools:

  • Gitlab
  • Atlassian Jira
  • Atlassian Confluence
  • Nexus Repository
  • SonarQube
  • Draw.io
  • Semgrep
  • Keycloak
  • ArgoCD

AWS native tools are utilized to support the platform logging and monitoring with FY26 plans to include a Grafana based monitoring stack.

Qualifications: Required:
  • An active DoD Secret.
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other Engineering or Technical discipline. An Advanced degree is desired.
  • 7 yearsโ€™ experience or 15 years of applicable experience with appropriate certi๏ฌcations may be substituted for the degree.
  • IAT Level II Certi๏ฌcation (CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Sec+CE, SSCP).
  • Computing environment certification
  • Proficient in the administration of software development applications listed in the โ€œEnvironment Detailsโ€ section.
  • Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation
  • Deep understanding of Linux administration in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Proven experience deploying and managing cloud-native (AWS) Elastic Kubernetes Services (EKS) solutions
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes security, RBAC, pod security policies, and IAM Roles for Service Accounts (IRSA)
  • Experience in using Git and GitOps workflows.
  • Proven integration of identity management and directory services, specifically ADFS integration (Active Directory Federated Services) and SSO leveraging OIDC/SAML tools such as Keycloak
  • Deep understanding of AWS services: EC2, IAM, VPC, ALB/NLB, Route53, S3, CloudWatch
  • Proficiency in container orchestration which involves managing and automating the deployment, scaling, and operations of application containers across clusters of hosts (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Docker Compose)
  • Proficient providing escalation support for cloud-related incidents and service requests
  • Experience monitoring system performance and availability using cloud-native and third-party tools
  • Automating routine tasks through scripting (e.g., Ansible, PowerShell, Python, Bash)
  • Exceptional technical troubleshooting skill (applications, services, servers, networking, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal communications skills
  • Effective writing to produce documentation for technicians, and users
Desired:
  • Experience using project planning software (such as Jira, Jira Service Desk and Confluence for planning and task tracking)

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
