Job description

Sr. Machinist, Valves
We have a rewarding opportunity for a Senior Machinist to join our team in Brecksville, OH!
As Our Senior Machinist you will perform moderately complex assignment planning, layout, set up, operating and making tool adjustments for various types of manual, numerically controlled and computerized machine shop equipment.
You will work from blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks, which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions. You will also check and inspect machining operations against specified tolerances. May identify and repair minor machine malfunctions.
Location: Brecksville, OH
Salary: $ 30.00 to $36.00 per hour

Your Challenge:
  • Manufacture and inspect detailed parts and tools from blueprints, sketches, drawings and verbal instructions using a variety of machining tools and equipment ( mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, jig bores and other machining equipment).
  • Perform mathematical and geometrical calculations on an as - needed basis.
  • Determine how to set up machines based on instructions received.
  • Perform minor repairs of equipment.
  • Keep work area clean and free from safety hazards.
  • Maintain acceptable quality and efficiency level.
  • Prove out CNC programs when required.

What you Bring:
  • 2+ years of experience in a CNC Machinist role using vertical or horizontal machining centers and/or CNC Lathes.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling 50 lbs; Standing and Sitting.
  • Ability to read an interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings.
  • Must be able to inspect parts using manual gauges.
  • Must be available to work OT in off-shift hours and weekends as required.
