Numerical Control Programmer 3, Machining/Tooling
Location: San Antonio, Texas (On-site)
Role Overview
This role provides numerical control, machining, and programming technical experience. The position involves establishing technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility. The programmer will plan, create, verify, and revise Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry, and documentation for numerically controlled equipment used to manufacture and inspect parts, tools, and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, create, verify, and revise Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry, and documentation.
  • Direct operations for a complete spectrum of numerically controlled equipment.
  • Establish technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility.
  • Plan and guide the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, software, and equipment.
  • Work under general direction to manufacture and inspect parts, tools, and assemblies.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Experience with aerospace tooling, GD&T, and fixture design. Has a working knowledge of Photo Contact Masters (PCM) and mylars.
Technical Skills: Ability to create 3D models from 2D drawings.
Work Environment
This role is 100% on-site. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate at their own expense prior to the start date. The position requires availability for all shifts (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) as well as potential weekend or daily overtime.
Additional Information
This position may require the ability to obtain customer approval for access. Dual citizenship or prior citizenship of another country could affect the ability to obtain access. A background check may be conducted covering personal and business finances, residences, employment history, past drug use, prior military service, and criminal behavior. Successful completion of training is a contingency for all assignment
