MCPP: Corrosion Control Supervisor

Program Summary

The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.

Job Summary

Supervises and coordinates the activities of skilled craftsmen who are performing duties involving the application of coating materials (i.e., paint, varnish, lacquer, shellac, etc.), operating sandblasting equipment, and inspecting, maintaining, repairing and painting vehicles.

Basic Qualifications

  • Four years of directly related work experience in a corrosion control facility environment involving primering, painting and sandblasting proicesses and procedures, including four years of direct supervisory experience.
  • BS degree in engineering or other related discipline. In lieu of a degree, a combination of college credits, other formalized training or education, and directly related work experience may be considered.
  • Complete the Ground Maintenace Officer Course or equivalent.
  • Computer skills (operating systems) mandatory.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong Employee / Labor Relations Skills.
  • Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.
