Job description

🚨 NOW HIRING: CNC Machinist (FANUC Controls) – 2nd Shift 🚨

📍 Location: Elk Grove Village, IL

🕒 Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday – Friday | 4:20 PM – 2:50 AM

🏭 Industry: Machinery Manufacturing / Precision Machining / Industrial Manufacturing


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC milling, boring, and turning machines utilizing FANUC controls.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
  • Machine castings and forgings while maintaining close tolerances and surface finish requirements.
  • Perform machine setups, tooling changes, offsets, and adjustments as needed.
  • Operate multiple machines simultaneously when production requirements demand.
  • Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment and quality inspection tools.
  • Verify product conformance to engineering and customer specifications.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Support production goals and assist with additional manufacturing activities as required.


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience, formal training, or equivalent combination of experience and education preferred.
  • Hands-on experience operating CNC machines with FANUC controls.
  • Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
  • Experience machining castings, forgings, and close-tolerance precision components.
  • Knowledge of machining techniques, tooling, machine setups, and CNC operations.
  • Experience using precision inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and indicators.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
