Full-time
Description
RAM Aerospace has been powering flight and space exploration since 1975, delivering precision solenoids, valves, actuators, LVDTs, and RVDTs for commercial, defense, and space applications. Headquartered in St. George, Utah, with a facility in Valencia, California, we build mission-critical components that the world's leading aerospace programs depend on. Join a team that builds the future of aerospace, on time, with excellence. Your career takes off here!
As a CNC Machinist at RAM, you'll bring your expertise to a high-precision, high-impact environment where quality and craftsmanship matter. This is a hands-on, second-shift role (Monday-Thursday, with Fridays off!) ideal for experienced machinists with 3+ years of CNC machining experience. You'll set up and operate a variety of CNC machines to produce complex aerospace components to exact specifications, applying your knowledge of mechanics, shop math, metal properties, and machining processes. This is not an entry-level position. It's an opportunity to grow your career in a fast-paced, advanced manufacturing setting.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes and milling machines.
  • Measure and examine completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools to perform precision machining operations.
  • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, and materials onto machines.
  • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
  • Follow prepared instructions outlining methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products.
  • Select the appropriate tools and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work.
  • Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs.
  • Perform minor preventive maintenance.
  • Position and fasten workpieces.
  • Program computers such as numerically controlled machine tools.
  • Set controls to regulate machining.
  • Confer with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.

  • Work experience using Mazak or Citizen machines is preferred
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening.
