Overview
Join CEC in St. Louis, MO, as an Survey CAD Technician!
As a Survey CAD Technician for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), in our St. Louis, MO, you'll demonstrate excellent attention to detail throughout the survey process to assist a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor or Survey Project Manager to prepare the calculations and AutoCAD drafting for topographic survey maps, boundary surveys, subdivision plans, exhibits and existing conditions base drawings. Part of this role includes the understanding of construction plans to work with permitted documents and CAD files to prepare staking calculations for survey field crews, related to construction staking projects. One key element of this role will be to build surfaces from topographic survey point files, .LAS, DEM and other point cloud and spatial data file types in AutoDesk Civil3D. Familiarity with ArcGIS or other GIS databases and systems is preferred. The ideal candidate should be open to learning new technologies and methods in and around surveying.

Qualifications
  • Prior AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is required.
  • Prior experience drafting and preparing survey drawings is required.
  • Prior experience reading deeds, plats and survey records to prepare boundary drawings is required
  • Prior experience working in ArcGIS or other GIS systems is a plus, but not required
  • Prior experience processing drone data using PIX4D or Trimble Business Center is a plus, but not required
  • Prior experience processing survey data in Civil3D or Trimble Business Center is a plus, but not required
