Job description

About the role:

As a Supervisor, Network Segmentation you will lead a team of Firewall and Segmentation Engineers and contractors in the delivery and support of secure, highly available firewall and segmentation services. We ask that you have leadership and operational management capabilities, including oversight of ticket queues, Service level agreement performance, and incident response, while balancing competing operational and project priorities.

You will report to the Network Services Manager. This is a remote position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership & Oversight

    • Oversee a team of Firewall and Microsegmentation Engineers (junior through senior level).

    • Assign and prioritize daily tasks, incidents, problems and change requests.

    • Promote accountability by setting clear goals, and measurable performance outcomes.

  • Operational Excellence

    • Ensure adherence to ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).

    • Monitor ticket queues and ensure resolution per Service level agreement.

    • Validate patching, backups, and maintenance activities are completed accurately.

    • Ensure compliance with security baselines and audit requirements.

    • Produce weekly/monthly operational reports (incidents, Service level agreement compliance, capacity trends).

    • Identify gaps in operational workflows and propose automation or process enhancements.

    • Partner with Problem Management to validate permanent fixes and reduce operational risk.

  • Escalation Management

    • Be the primary escalation point for high priority incidents

    • Lead response efforts during highseverity or businessimpacting incidents, ensuring rapid assessment.

    • Provide updates to leadership and partners throughout major incident response activities.

    • Drive root cause analysis and ensure corrective and preventive actions are documented and implemented.

    • Review recurring incidents and systemic issues, escalating patterns for longterm remediation.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Communicate status of critical incidents and planned changes to management and partners.

    • Collaborate with architecture and security teams for cross-platform plans.

    • Partner with other Network Services teams to ensure smooth handoff of new solutions into production and readiness for ongoing operations.

    • Work with compliance, audit, and risk teams to support evidence collection, remediation tracking, and adherence to IT governance requirements

    • Coordinate with network, database, application, and service desk teams to resolve crossfunctional issues and align operational activities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent work experience

  • 4+ years experience in networking, security, or network segmentation

  • Advanced issue resolution for complex network and security issues

  • Strong understanding of network segmentation strategies and architectures across complex environments (vaults, manufacturing networks, specialty isolated networks) Experience managing large-scale firewall environments (Palo Alto Panorama, physical and cloud-based deployments) Knowledge of GlobalProtect VPN deployments across multi-region environments Hands-on experience with Citrix ADC configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning Experience with Microsegmentation platforms (Guardicore), including policy implementation and vendor coordination
