QUALIFICATIONS:
- Any combination equivalent to a degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field and/or two years' experience in computer networking, programming, or computer technical support. Knowledge of both Windows and Apple operating systems is required. Self-motivated and able to research, find, and create solutions to known issues. Comfortable working in both collaborative environments and on individual projects. Able to maintain confidentiality and data protection measures.Â
KNOWLEDGE OF:Â
- Windows, Apple, and Chrome operating systems and be able to provide support for all three.
- Microsoft & Google Suite software/applications.
- Methods, equipment, and tools used in the skilled repair and servicing of computer equipment.
- Interactive Smart Boards/Smart TV's.
- Safety practices and precautions used in working with computer equipment.
- Technical aspects of the computer field.
- Diagnostic techniques and procedures used in computer and electronics repair.
- Basic record-keeping techniques.
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
- Health and safety regulations.Â
ABILITY TO:Â
- Install computers and related instructional equipment at District sites.
- Operate electronic measuring instruments, testing equipment, and tools safely and properly.
- Maintain records related to work performed.
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.

JOB GOALS:Â
- Perform a variety of skilled and technical duties related to the installation, repair, alteration and maintenance of district technology devices and systems; provide support by ensuring that students and staff have access to information and resources to be successful day to day.Â
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Â
- Perform a variety of skilled and technical duties related to the installation, repair, and alteration and maintenance of computers, printers and other peripheral equipment; schedule repairs or installations.
- Develop and conduct one-on-one and group training of District personnel in the use of instructional devices and related software.
- Inspect, isolate, and diagnose system malfunctions and determine appropriate repair procedures; assist in the replacement of defective parts and restore to proper operation: analyze and resolve general software issues.
- Develop and maintain cable location diagrams for local area networks, device sharing, and computer terminals.
- Install hardware and software, including upgrades and enhancements.
- Maintain and repair data terminals and a variety of data communications equipment and network equipment.
- Move equipment to new locations as requested; reroute and install communication cables for new locations; test system to ensure proper operation.
- Perform component-level equipment repair; remove defective components and replace and initiate test procedures according to established procedures; locate and request replacement components.
- Communicate with a variety of departments regarding the repair and installation of computer equipment, and communicate with vendors and manufacturers regarding parts, pricing, purchases, and product information to find the best source of supply.
- Provide assistance, information, and technical expertise to faculty, administrators, and students regarding the safe and proper operation, care, and maintenance of district equipment.
- Maintain records of computer and network repairs, materials used, moving and installation activities, and work orders; maintain records of maintenance supplies used; maintain and adequate spare parts inventory.
- Perform related duties as assigned.Â

CONTRACT: Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 235 Days; days will be adjusted for remainder of year
SALARY: Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â $25.87 - $39.73/hourly; depending on qualifications & experience
